Before you connect
- Use a recent photo and a name you're comfortable with.
- Don't share your home address, workplace, or financial info.
- Trust your gut — if something feels off, it probably is.
Meeting up IRL
- Pick a public place for first meets — a café, a park, a busy spot.
- Tell a friend where you're going and when you'll check in.
- Arrange your own transport. Don't rely on the other person.
- Stay sober enough to leave whenever you want.
Red flags
- Someone asking for money, gifts, or financial help.
- Pressure to move off Duncit to another platform too quickly.
- Inconsistent stories or refusing to video chat.
- Anyone making you uncomfortable — block, report, move on.
